CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A shooting in north Charlotte left one person dead on Sunday.

The shooting happened in the Sunset Tobacco & Vape store on Beatties Ford Road near Sunset Boulevard around 7 p.m. Police say they found a male victim dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

The victim's name has not been released.

It's unclear what led to the shooting. Officials did not say if any suspects were arrested.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating the shooting as a homicide. No further information has been released.
