Powerful winds swept across the New Jersey coastline on Sunday as a nor’easter battered the state .

As of Sunday afternoon, Sea Isle City recorded the highest wind gust of 59 miles per hour at 9:30 a.m., creating hazardous conditions for residents and travelers along the shore.

The Cape May County region experienced the most intense wind activity, with multiple locations reporting wind speeds over 50 miles per hour.

Avalon saw gusts of 54 mph, while Cape May Harbor and Ocean City both recorded 51 mph winds.

Ocean County also faced significant wind challenges, with Rutgers reporting a 52 mph gust and Harvey Cedars experiencing 51 mph winds.
