ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Here are my five thoughts on the Buffalo Bills ’ game against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium:

1. It’s time for the Bills to show what they really are as team.

This isn’t simply a matter of atoning for last week’s embarrassing loss to New England. This is about the Bills demonstrating they’re better than the team that had survived their way to victories the previous two weeks to start 4-0. And it’s about them proving they’re not the sloppy bunch that made fans hope they never see those white cold-front uniforms again.

That game sounded the alarm the players and coaches can’t afford to ignore. How they respond remains to be seen.
