The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying a group of subjects potentially linked to a shooting in Leland that left six dead and at least 10 others injured.

Gunfire erupted at the intersection of Fourth Street and North Main Street around midnight Friday when a large crowd was gathered for a block party following the homecoming football game at Leland High School. The FBI Jackson Field Office stated in a Sunday night press release that the incident appears to have been “sparked by a disagreement among several individuals.”

Along with the potential motive, federal agents released pictures of four unknown subjects.

The deceased were identified Saturday as Oreshama Johnson, 41; Calvin Plant, 19; Shelbyona Powell, 25; Kaslyn Johnson, 18; Amos Brantley, Jr., 18; and JaMichael Jon
