Kayshon Boutte’s display Sunday showed why the New England Patriots have put their faith in the young wideout.

The performance even got the attention of an opposing safety who has gone against his share of talented pass-catchers.

Boutte had a team-high 93 yards receiving with a pair of touchdowns in Sunday’s 25-19 win over the New Orleans Saints. Both touchdowns put the Patriots in the lead after trailing.

The LSU product put on a show at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and Saints veteran safety Justin Reid praised the 23-year-old after the game.

“He is just a talented kid,” Reid said after the game when asked about his matchup with Boutte, via a team-provided transcript. “We knew coming into the game that he wins a lot of 50-50 balls. That is how I view him.
