KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs got back into the winning column on Sunday night, defeating the Detroit Lions 30-17 thanks in large part to a masterful performance from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Whether it was the usual throwing it or running it, Mahomes totaled four touchdowns to help Kansas City hand Detroit its second loss of the season, improving the Chiefs’ record to 3-3 in 2025.

The Chiefs got their first score of the night when Mahomes connected with wide receiver Xavier Worthy for his 300th career touchdown pass in the first quarter.

Once again, Mahomes took matters into his own hands. Just before halftime, the Chiefs’ 30-year-old superstar kept the ball for a 1-yard touchdown run that gave Kansas City a 13-10 lead heading into the halftime break.
