Members of the Shoalhaven's Indian community have come together to celebrate Diwali with a night of food, music and dancing.
Colourful and sparkling clothes filled the building as the Hindu festival of lights, celebrating the spiritual victory of Dharma over Adharma, or light over darkness, brought hundreds of people together in the St Michael's School hall on Saturday, October 11.
There were gifts given to everyone who attended, along with additional gifts offered to all the children who took part in a selection of games and competitions.
Many took to the stage for dance routines, but as the night wore on and the scheduled performances came to an end it was the turn of all the audience to make the most of the night's Bollywood theme by putting on their best dance moves in a joyous cele
