A man is facing charges following a rollover crash that killed his 21-year-old passenger in Burke, Vermont, late Friday night.

State police say troopers were called to the single vehicle crash on Mountain Road near Sherburne Lodge Road around 10:53 p.m. and arrived to find a Tesla S that was totaled.

The Tesla, according to a preliminary investigation, was headed east on Mountain Drive when it went off the south side of the road and collided with several trees before overturning, police said. The passenger, identified as Whit Steen, of Lyndon, was thrown from the vehicle.
