HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - There’s a First Alert for a chance heavier showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms from Wednesday into Friday as an upper level disturbance moves over the islands.

For the first part of the week, trade winds will be light enough to allow for isolated afternoon pop-up showers in leeward areas.

As we head into midweek, the disturbance will reach the western islands Wednesday afternoon. It will then weaken and move off to the west, allowing for stronger trade winds to move in. However, scattered showers will still keep things damp for windward areas.
