HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A woman is in serious condition after crashing into a tree in the Ewa Villages area Sunday.

The crash happened at around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Renton Road and Kapolei Parkway.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said the 44-year-old woman apparently lost control of the vehicle she was driving.

EMS said it administered medical care and took her to a hospital for further treatment.
