Wide receiver Jauan Jennings got into a heated exchange with head coach Kyle Shanahan during the 49ers’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After the game, Jennings spoke about the incident and even urged the media to ask Shanahan about it. “Jauan Jennings said, “ask him” about his sideline arguments with Shanahan,” Vic Tafur wrote on X. “Also, said he is playing with 5 broken ribs.”

In the first half, he was completely left out of the offensive game plan with zero targets, so it’s likely his frustration stemmed from that. Jennings also revealed that he’s been playing through a series of injuries, five broken ribs, and high and low ankle sprains. This may have added to his emotions on the field.
