The devastated loved ones of a student tragically killed on his way to school have remembered the teen as the “glue” of their family.
Thom Hosking, 15, was hit by a truck in Bendigo , 150km northwest of Melbourne in Victoria , on Friday morning and despite CPR from a passer-by could not be saved.
In a powerful tribute honouring their boy, father Andrew, mother Kim and sister Charli said the Girton Grammar student was the youngest member of their family, but important beyond his years.
“Thom’s death is a tragedy in the truest form. He was 15. A boy entering manhood with so many of life’s great moments about to open up for him,” they said in a statement.
