Two inmates have been charged with the murder of infamous Lostprophets paedophile Ian Watkins in prison.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, who were both serving their sentences at HMP Wakefield, appeared handcuffed wearing garish "escape suits" as they appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court today over the killing.

Dodsworth and Gedel both appeared at Leeds magistrates’ court wearing garish yellow and green 'escape risk' uniforms and in handcuffs. Both were flanked by five court security guards during their short and separate hearings.

Appearing first, Dodsworth spoke only to confirm his full name as Samuel Richard Stanley Dodsworth and his date-of-birth, and stood as he was told that he would appear at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow.
