Ican handle potatoes going off after a couple of weeks – though I know they can survive for months in the right conditions , I’m happy enough with how they behave on my countertops.
The same goes for cheese (which usually lasts a while) and berries (they go off quickly , but we eat them quickly too).
But I often wish there was a pick-your-own option for fresh herbs, because I’m sick of watching an entire bunch of parsley wilt in my fridge long before I can finish it.
