The first new train station in south-east Queensland in almost a decade will open at Pimpama next week, with updated bus services set to coincide.
After more than three years of construction, the new station will open on Monday, October 20, to service one of the fastest-growing suburbs of the Gold Coast.
The new station will mean changes to a number of bus and train services and commuters are advised to double-check their timetable.
Transport and Main Roads Minister Brent Mickelberg said the Gold Coast was a "key focus" of the government's planned transport infrastructure.
"We're delivering a significant pipeline of transport infrastructure across southeast Queensland to better connect our growing communities," he said.
