A video has circulated online showing the moment a man is escorted from a home in Dedridge before leaving the estate in a police car.

The video, which was captured on Friday October 10, showed dozens of local residents lining the streets of Peveril Rise, West Lothian, at around 6.30pm.

Officers can be seen gathered around a police vehicle which has a door open facing a property.

In the clip a man in a grey cotton tracksuit can then be seen leaving the home while carrying a bag and an officer walks behind them.

He then enters the vehicle before the door is shut behind him by an officer.

The crowd then erupts into a loud cheer as the man is driven out of Peveril Rise.

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
