MIDLAND, MI — A Midland man is in police custody on charges that he killed a woman he was in a romantic relationship with.

About 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, Midland police responded to Robin Oaks Apartment Complex, 1905 Eastlawn Drive, for a reported dead body. They arrived to find a 25-year-old woman deceased in an apartment.

Police have not released the decedent’s name, nor shared how she was killed. They did state they believed the killing was isolated and the general public was not in danger.

That same afternoon, officers arrested a 24-year-old man and lodged him in the Midland County Jail. He has spent the weekend in custody on a $1 million bond on a charge of negligent homicide involving a weapon.
