The weekend’s weather has seeped into the start of a new work week as cool temps and cloudy skies are expected Monday with chances of showers.

The National Weather Service is still watching the movement of a broad upper-level trough which is centered over the region and should slowly move southeastward through the day.

Indigenous People’s Day in Portland will have mostly cloudy skies to start, then gradually clear to mostly sunny by the end of the afternoon. The high temp will reach near 61 degrees. Winds could be gusty at times blowing to about 20 mph.

A check of early Monday morning road camera showed falling snow on the Santiam and Willamette passes. Mount Hood’s U.S. 26 had some wet snow on the road but shouldn’t see more than a trace over the course of the morning. The Nation Weath
