SRINAGAR : In a continued crackdown on drug peddling, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday arrested four persons in separate operations in Awantipora and Kupwara and recovered contraband substances from their possession. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

In Awantipora, a police team from the Toll Plaza Post intercepted a Tavera vehicle (registration number RJ14TB-6291) at Kaigam Crossing. The two occupants, identified as Zahid Ahmad Sheikh and Mehraj Ahmad Ragga — both residents of Hamdani Colony, Bemina — were found in possession of 65 grams of charas-like substance. They were arrested on the spot, and a case under FIR No. 213/2025 has been registered at Police Station Awantipora. The vehicle used in the crime has also been seized.
