Louisiana residents with beaver fever are getting more excited as two Buc-ee's travel centers are constructed in the state, one in Lafayette and the other in Ruston.

Both sides recently faced construction delays that pushed back opening timelines. The Ruston location is now set to open in 2026, and the Lafayette location won't welcome guests until 2028.

Despite the pushback, land clearing has begun on the $82 million project at the northeast corner of Interstate 10 and Louisiana Avenue in Lafayette.
