The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) today inaugurated the Mithali Raj Stand and the Raavi Kalpana Gate at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, elevating two icons of Indian women’s cricket and advancing Andhra Pradesh’s push to celebrate women athletes in public sporting spaces.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT, Electronics and HRD Nara Lokesh unveiled the honours in the presence of ICC Chairman Jay Shah and ACA President Kesineni Sivanath, alongside dignitaries from India and overseas cricket boards.

This landmark follows a gender-stereotyping round table in August 2025 where a leading woman cricketer urged that stands in cricket stadiums be named after women players; within weeks, Vizag has delivered on that call with permanent stadium recognition.
