In a high-level meeting in Delhi, External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand to chart an ambitious roadmap for India-Canada cooperation. Both sides discussed enhancing collaboration across trade, investment, agriculture, science and technology, civil nuclear projects, artificial intelligence, critical minerals, and energy. Dr Jaishankar emphasised the importance of a long-term, sustainable partnership, reflecting shared values of diversity, pluralism, and an open economy. The meeting also marked the formal involvement of both High Commissioners, reinforcing the commitment to de-risk the international economy through strong, integrated bilateral ties.
