An early season storm system is expected to bring widespread rainfall and isolated thunderstorms to the Bay Area Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Lower elevations across the region could receive anywhere from a quarter-inch to 1 1/2 inches of rain by Tuesday night, while higher elevations could see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches, the weather service said.
Isolated thunderstorms packing lightning, heavy rain, gusty rains and small hail are possible. Waterspouts are also possible across the coastal waters, according to the weather service.
