DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — Two people have died after a plane crash Monday on I-195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts State Police said they received a call around 8:15 a.m. about a fixed-wing plane that crashed in the median near Exit 19.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said both sides of the highway were closed at Exit 22.

Videos on social media show a small aircraft in the median. Flames can also be seen across the highway.

In addition to the two people who died, one person who was not on the plane was injured and transported to the hospital, state police said. The severity of their injuries is unknown.
