A 'dead flower' inside an envelope sparked an evacuation at a Jewish day centre opposite Heaton Park synagogue, the Manchester Evening News understands.
Officers evacuated occupants of the Nicky Alliance Day Centre, also known as The Nicky, at around 10am this morning (October 13).
A cordon was put in place for around four-and-a-half hours while emergency services worked at the scene on Middleton Road, in Crumpsall .
Greater Manchester Police said all occupants of the Nicky were 'safe and well' following the evacuation.

In an initial statement, the force said a 'suspicious substance' had been found in an envelope.
It's understood the item involved is believed to have been a dead, or damaged, flower
