BUTLER TWP. — Police in Butler Township say they charged Alexander Samuel Krouse, 25, on allegations he assaulted an emergency medical technician on Sunday.

According to a news release from Butler Township police:

An emergency medical technician from Valley Regional responded to a gasoline service station on West Butler Drive for an unresponsive person, identified as Krouse, inside a vehicle at approximately 6:30 p.m.

When Krouse was awakened, an EMT began treatment and attempted to administer medication from a syringe. Krouse forcefully grabbed the syringe causing an injury to the EMT’s arm, the news release says.

Krouse was detained by police after a struggle.

The EMT was treated and released from a local hospital.
