1WILKES-BARRE, PA — A theft incident occurred on Thursday at a restaurant on North River Street involving the unlawful removal of used cooking oil. Officers responded to the scene around 3:33 PM after receiving a report of the theft.

The complainant, who is a 25-year-old man from Buffalo, NY, reported that an unknown suspect had cut the lock on the storage container. The suspect removed approximately 140 gallons of used cooking oil intended for collection.

This incident is currently under investigation by local authorities.

No arrests have been made at this time.
