LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT/KY3) - Access to your Arkansas driver’s license is just a tap away.

The Department of Finance and Administration announced Monday that Arkansas Mobile ID is now available in the Samsung and Google Wallets on Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

The Mobile ID will be available for the Apple Wallet sometime next year, the DFA said. The app is already available for iPhones.

Approximately 40,000 people have downloaded the Mobile ID app since it launched in March . The Transportation Security Administration accepts it at airport checkpoints throughout the United States, the DFA added.
