CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Operation Christmas Child is preparing to collect gift-filled shoeboxes for children in need with nearly 5,000 drop-off locations opening across the U.S.

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, has delivered over 232 million shoeboxes to children in more than 170 countries and territories. The initiative aims to reach 12 million children in 2025 with shoeboxes packed with toys, school supplies, and personal care items.
