HUNTINGTON, Mass. (WWLP) - The Westfield River Watershed Association and the Western Mass Fly Fishermen's Association are hosting the free Bill Rose Memorial Fly Fishing Clinic on Saturday.
The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Route 20 across from the Huntington Health Center and is open to families and teens with adult supervision. Participants will have the opportunity to learn fly fishing techniques, including fly-tying demonstrations and casting practice.
"Come out and learn about fly fishing from the experts. Join us as we enjoy a beautiful fall day on the Westfield River," encourages Mark Damon, current WRWA president.
The event honors Bill Rose, the late president of both the WRWA and WMFF, who was passionate about fly fishing.
