Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday revised and enhanced the daily diet allowance for in-patients at all government hospitals in the state, considering the current market conditions.

An official statement said that the revised rates are being implemented by the Health and Family Welfare department with immediate effect. Earlier, the diet rates were fixed as per the department’s resolution of August 3, 2023. ADVERTISEMENT

As per the new rates, the general diet has been increased from Rs 110 to Rs 127, while the paediatric diet has been raised from Rs 95 to Rs 110. The high-protein diet has gone up from Rs 120 to Rs 138, the dry diet from Rs 95 to Rs 110, and the liquid diet from Rs 110 to Rs 127.
