A 13-year-old girl tried to murder her classmate in a Birmingham school by stabbing her in the neck, a court has heard.
The accused pupil shouted 'die b****' as she pulled out a pocket knife and repeatedly attacked the girl, also aged 13, in the lobby, a jury was told.
It was alleged in the days before she posted about killing the victim on TikTok and told a friend she was going to stab her 'cos I can'.
While after the attack she was seen 'smirking' in assembly and later wrote in her diary 'she's still alive sadly', a prosecutor said.
The girl, now aged 14, who cannot be identified due to her age, went on trial at Birmingham Crown Court earlier today (Monday, October 13).
She denies a charge of attempted murder and an alternative charge of wounding with intent.
