CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The CEO of a major financial company based in Charlotte was killed in an ATV accident over the weekend.

LendingTree confirmed in a Monday that its chairman and CEO, , died Sunday, Oct. 12.

Lebda founded LendingTree in 1996, and will be succeeded as CEO by COO and president Scott Peyree, with Steve Ozonian set to take over as chairman of the board.
