Here is the weekly report from Department of Natural Resources conservation officers in northwest Minnesota and adjacent areas of northern Minnesota for Monday, Oct. 13, 2025.

CO Ben Huener (Roseau) checked duck hunters on Lake of the Woods and Thief Lake, and goose hunters in the Roseau area. Waterfowl violations encountered included shooting while motoring, failing to attempt to retrieve ducks, possession of lead shells, unplugged shotgun, trespass and an overlimit of geese. Assistance was also given in with a vehicle accident/DUI.

CO Tony Hams (Warroad North) spent the week checking area anglers and small-game and waterfowl hunters, and monitoring ATV traffic. Violations encountered were no license in possession, no throwable PFD, transporting loaded firearms, possession of toxic sh
