EAST GRAND FORKS – An East Grand Forks restaurant known for its poutine, fries and burgers – and for continuing the tradition of long-gone Eastside bars and restaurants – is poised to cross the Red River and relocate in Grand Forks.

The pending move of The Spud Jr. comes as the building its expected to become the site of a new marijuana dispensary, thus ending the lease of the bar/restaurant. East Grand Forks City Clerk Megan Nelson confirmed to the Herald on Monday that Red Iris LLC, which has been awarded the opportunity to open a dispensary, is expected to move into the location of The Spud Jr., at 302 DeMers Ave.

The owner of the building is MNBowl LLC. The city does not have a phone number listed for the entity.
