Due to the potential for showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, a Flood Watch will go into effect from noon until 10 PM today for most of Eastern NC, except for Bertie, Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, and Wilson counties. Continue to watch for flooded roadways and when coming across a flooded roadway, Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

As we go out on Sunday, a few more showers and storms will continue to be in the cards today, as some storms could fall heavily at times from a cold front. Most areas north of Highway 264 and 13 will not see as much rain and areas south of Highway 264 & 17 will see more rain activity.
