MICHIGAN, USA — The first snow of the season is on the way. For most, it will not be all that impressive.

However, some along the lakeshore will see the possibility of several inches of accumulation Sunday into Monday!

As cold air moves in on a north wind, lake-effect snow will develop Sunday through Monday along the lakeshore.

A north wind favors the immediate lakeshore on seeing any impacts and higher totals. Areas closer to US-131 largely will miss out until later Monday.

The first Winter Weather Advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service for Mason and Oceana counties.

This advisory runs from 10 p.m. Saturday through 7 p.m. Sunday for the possibility of seeing travel impacts and heavier lake-effect snow showers.
