The Slidell Police Department has named its spokesperson, Daniel Seuzeneau, as Interim Chief of Police. He will step into the role previously held by Chief Randy Fandal, who was recently elected as the city’s next mayor.
“There is no greater honor than to lead the Slidell Police Department,” Seuzeneau said in a statement. “This is my home. This is my family.”
He said his goal was to continue Fandal’s legacy by focusing on professionalism, accountability, compassion for others, and a tough stance on crime. Seuzeneau also shared his excitement for what’s ahead for both the department and the city, pointing to major upcoming projects like the new $19 million headquarters and jail facility.
