The volume of home sales in the San Antonio area increased in September and prices remain steady, but homes are staying on the market longer, according to a report from the San Antonio Board of Realtors.

A new report from Realtor.com sheds even more light on the San Antonio-area home market. The report says home inventory in the region sits at 49.6 percent above pre-pandemic levels — the second highest percentage among 50 major U.S. metros.

The SABOR report shows 2,823 homes were sold in the San Antonio area in September, up five percent from the same period last year, and the median home price last month held steady at $308,995.
