Beloved Austin chain Hopdoddy Burger Bar is firing up its first restaurant in rapidly growing Schertz. A rep for the gourmet burger joint says the company plans to open its newest San Antonio-area outpost near 18574 IH 35 N. in 2027.
The restaurant has not released official menu details, but the Schertz restaurant will undoubtedly follow Hopdoddy’s winning formula of making “better burgers” from an assortment of proteins like Angus and Kobe beef, chicken, ahi tuna, and turkey. Although the spot does sell a few melts with trendy smashed patties, the bread-and-butter is thick gourmet burgers loaded with maximalist toppings.
