A Terrytown woman was arrested on a vehicular homicide charge Monday after hitting a motorcyclist on the Crescent City Connection Saturday and fleeing the scene, according to Louisiana State Police.

State troopers were called to the CCC, or U.S. 90B, near General De Gaulle Drive around 3:30 a.m. after a motorcycle driver was ejected after being hit by an Acura, Trooper First Class Jacob Pucheu said.

The victim, identified by LSP as 36-year-old Lonnie Thompson of Westwego, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Sunday.

LSP said Azaria Scott, 26, struck the back of Thompson's Can-Am Spyder and attempted to flee the scene, but troopers stopped her nearby a short time later on Saturday.
