CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Five people were rescued from a home after it caught fire on Saturday night.

Firefighters arrived at the residence on 30th Street Northeast around 4:15 a.m. Smoke was seen coming from a bedroom as crews worked to extinguish the fire.

Everyone inside was able to safely get out. One person was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
