Commuters are facing major disruption on the London Underground with Vauxhall Station evacuated at the height of rush hour.
All rail lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction were closed while emergency services dealt with an incident near the railway, before re-opening the lines shortly after 8pm. Those travelling to or from London Waterloo have been warned cancellations and delayes of up to 60 minutes are likely.
National Rail said earlier this evening: "The emergency services are dealing with an incident between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction. Whilst they do their work, all lines are closed. Trains running to/from London Waterloo may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised. Major disruption is expected until 9pm." 20:40 Zahra Khaliq
