Now that U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace deal has freed the last of the living Israeli hostages from the sadistic grip of Hamas, established a ceasefire and restarted the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza, the next step is to disarm Hamas.
Declared a terrorist organization by Canada more than two decades ago, Hamas — a.k.a. the Islamic Resistance Movement — has no intention of disbanding despite its dismantling being a key component of the so-called “two-state solution” of establishing a viable Palestinian state living in peace beside Israel.
