(WKBN) -- The celebrations continue tonight in Israel and among Jewish communities worldwide as the ceasefire with Hamas remains in effect.

Images are flooding the internet as victims kidnapped more than two years ago were reunited with their families. There were also celebrations throughout Israel marking the end of the war with Hamas.

Locally, leaders with the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation say they're looking forward to the prospect of peace in the region.

"Those who are living in Gaza right now who are attempting to rise up against the oppressors that are Hamas, and they're being tortured right now by Hamas, that will end, and that the next phases of the agreement will be able to come into being," said Bonnie Burdman, with Youngstown Area Jewish Federation.
