BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — For the first time in program history, the Indiana University football team is ranked No. 3 in the nation.

The Hoosiers made a statement and jumped up in the AP Top 25 poll after defeating the Oregon Ducks on Saturday. IU football is 6-0 so far this season.

“It was going to be hard, and we found a way to overcome it,” said Coach Curt Cignetti in a press conference on Monday.

The Indiana Hoosiers beat the previously ranked No. 3 team 30-20 on the road.

“Without a doubt, the most significant game that I've seen and been a part of," said alumni Bob Jarosinski.

Jarosinski was one of the dedicated IU fans who flew out to watch the game from the stands at Autzen Stadium.
