LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The Clark County coroner has released the latest numbers of heat-related deaths in 2025 so far.

In September , the coroner reported 191 heat-related deaths. Monday, officials have reported 260 deaths where heat was a factor.

The report is still not yet finalized, the coroner said, as some cases take up to 90 days to determine the cause and manner of death. Certain drug use and other factors, including cardiovascular disease, could make people more susceptible to heat.

FOX5 meteorologists say temperatures will remain well below average through the week, bottoming out in the upper 60s to low 70s by midweek.

In 2024, the coroner said heat was confirmed a factor in 526 deaths .
