ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A 71-year-old native of Romney, Indiana, was injured while trying to get into his vehicle Monday morning.

According to a news release from the Rockville Police Department, a multi-vehicle collision occurred around 9:30 a.m. on the north side of the town square. Officers stated that the 71-year-old man was injured as a result of the collision as he was preparing to enter his vehicle.

The release states the man suffered internal injuries and was taken by Parke County EMS to Union Hospital in Terre Haute. WTWO will update the story when more information becomes available.
