EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- As Israel and Hamas move to follow the steps of the Gaza peace deal Monday, students on Michigan State University's campus are making their thoughts known, saying the ceasefire is a relief.
"Honestly any shift or moves forward that would allow for future peace for anyone that lives on this planet is a great and positive thing," said Nasim Barghouti, an MSU senior and member of the Hurriya Coalition, a pro-Palestinian activism group at MSU.
Barghouti and fellow coalition member Jenna Aly tell 6 News they were happy to learn of the ceasefire Monday morning, but remain skeptical of how long-term relations between Palestine and Israel will pan out.
