THIS EVENING, TONIGHT…
We’re still in *First Alert Weather Day* mode through this evening as the wind remains gusty with scattered showers, compliments of a nearly stationary coastal storm to our south.
Earlier in the day, gusts reached close to 50 mph along the shoreline (Bridgeport and Groton clocked 48 mph). While the worst of the wind is behind us, gusts between 30 and 40 mph will be possible this evening. This means there’s a low end chance for isolated power outages. Overnight, showers will taper by daybreak; otherwise, expect areas of fog and drizzle. The wind won’t diminish, but it will relax a bit. Temperatures bottom out between 45 and 50 inland, in the lower 50s at the shoreline.
